This is such a beautiful carving with a nice, high-quality polish. There is a lovely large area of quartz formation, and it has graduations of colour from fawn to blue toned chalcedony. The wings and face details are well carved and there a few areas of interesting inclusions. In the centre of the left wing there is a large pocket of sugar druzy quartz.
