This is honestly one of my favourite carving themes lately because who doesn't love a good highland cow. The detail in these carvings is quite involved, so it has been hard to capture - please feel free to ask for additional video/images if you like as I am happy to provide.
This piece has a gold and purple patch across the crown of the cows head and a nice big patch of green and blue on the back of its neck. On the left side is a large patch of purple to blue and peach tone flash that moves down to follow the left hind leg in a flash of orange and gold. The back right hind has splashes of purple and orange and the right foreleg has a line of blue and green.
Labradorite can be hard to carve and maintain the flash due to the nature of the material. The layers in the feldspar need the light to hit at the right angle and often times the growth of the layers means as the piece is shaped, flash is lost. I always try to buy the pieces with the best flash I can and will detail all areas as they can be hard to capture in photos.

It is normal for stones to at times have voids, natural cracking, druzy pockets and a variety of inclusions or host rock. Each item will have all of these described and photographed and each piece is quality checked before shipping. Any defects, weakness points or breakage will be noted in clearance or discounted items.
