Breccia/Conglomerate Stone 'Patchwork Jade' Frog - 775g

These frogs are really quite cute and perfect to add to any amphibian lover's collection. This stone is often marketed as Patchwork Stone/Patchwork Jade, but it is not a true jade and is in fact a conglomerate mix of various limestone minerals usually in a cement like matrix. It forms as pebbles and debris are moved through landslide movement and then settles.

Please note this type of carving is generally a mix of marble and other minerals. Jade is a common term used to describe a large variety of material that is easy to carve and hold detail. 

Please also note these carvings have been coated in a layer of clear varnish as they have been dry carved and due to the details would have an uneven polish/or areas unable to be polished.
