Brecciated Druzy Quartz Chalcedony Skull - 632g

This skull is very pretty with light earth tones and many pockets of sparkling druzy. I'm a big fan of this material in its natural state, it holds a beautiful polish, and the quartz holds so much light. 

This material is commonly known on the market as Sphalerite but unfortunately that would be a miss-identification. It is actually a form of Brecciated Quartz and Chalcedony, often with a jasper matrix. It can also include other minerals such as calcite and fluorite depending on location. As the crystal formed its growth movements create pockets of druzy which characterises this as a lovely, sparkly kind of material. It is often aura coated but also looks lovely in raw form. Always makes a nice addition to any collection.
