Brecciated Druzy Quartz Chalcedony Small Towers - 87-110g

These small towers are quite pretty and great examples of the variety you can get with this material. All have small pockets of druzy and a nice patterning of matrix stone and Quartz. Each stands well and the points have been quality checked. It can be hard to get stable pieces of this material due to the pockets. Your piece will be intuitively selected taking patterning and quality as a priority. 

This material is commonly known on the market as Sphalerite but unfortunately that would be a miss-identification. It is actually a form of Brecciated Quartz and Chalcedony, often with a jasper matrix. It can also include other minerals such as calcite and fluorite depending on location. As the crystal formed its growth movements create pockets of druzy which characterises this as a lovely, sparkly kind of material. It is often aura coated but also looks lovely in raw form. Always makes a nice addition to any collection.
