Aura Coated Brecciated Quartz Chalcedony Slab + Stand - 620g

This is a nice sized slab, and it would look great on display, especially if you can catch the light over the aura coating. It is full of sparkly druzy pocketing and is dominated by a lot of dark purple flash in the aura. The raw edge cuts of this piece are chock full of quartz - super pretty!

This material is commonly known on the market as Sphalerite but unfortunately that would be a miss-identification. It is actually a form of Brecciated Quartz and Chalcedony, often with a jasper matrix. It can also include other minerals such as calcite and fluorite depending on location. As the crystal formed its growth movements create pockets of druzy which characterises this as a lovely, sparkly kind of material. It is often aura coated but also looks lovely in raw form. Always makes a nice addition to any collection.
