Amethyst & Mexican Lace Agate Heart - 356g

This combination of minerals is definitely one of my favourites. This material being so full of geode formation is notoriously hard to achieve a perfect polish without any chips or tooth fallout, this is considered a part of the natural beauty of this stone, but any notable damage or large fallout will be noted below. 

This piece is a little unusual in that it is split in half by the face of the heart, one side having a lovely honeycomb of amethyst formations, and the other really showcasing the wonderful patterning of the agate. The agate side is all greys, creams and soft beige.

Please note it appears as if the carvers have for some unknown reason tried to fill the natural pithing with a glue or resin as there is some evidence of that. Until I can regrind the surface, I am adding a discount as it still is a very pretty heart. There is no damage, just a natural small void on the stone in the agate side so I can't say why they felt the need to fill. On the amethyst side the 3 areas are geode fallout with some resin within.

It is normal for stones to at times have voids, natural cracking, druzy pockets and a variety of inclusions or host rock. Any defects, weakness points or breakage will be noted in clearance or discounted items.
